HOM Furniture recently presented a $10,000 donation to the Life House.
The Life House serves homeless and at-risk youth in Duluth and surrounding areas. The organization runs a drop-in center in downtown Duluth and offers immediate access to emergency needs such as food, shelter, basic health care, life skills development, and "one-on-one" support services in safe housing, education, employment, and positive health.
“This major gift from HOM Furniture comes at a crucial time,” said Jeff Woolverton, Life House Development Director, in a press release. “Today, we are seeing more youth with increased needs here in Duluth,” states Woolverton. “Beyond the issue of homelessness, we are seeing more kids with histories of neglect and abuse, including sex trafficking.”
