Capitol Report: Planning for Retirement, Improving Capitol Security | Politics
Commerce Commissioner Mike Rothman is spearheading an effort to help Minnesotans become financially literate and save for retirement. On this week's Capitol Report, he joins Julie Bartkey to highlight the program that his office recently launched.
Security at the Capitol and surrounding complex continues to be scrutinized. Also this week, Lieutenant Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon, chair of the Advisory Committee on Capitol Area Security, discusses the issue and possible recommendations. Earlier this year, Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen, R-Alexandria, and Rep. Michael Paymar, DFL-St. Paul, discussed their views on allowing guns at the Capitol.
